PIERRE, SD – Wagner Finance Officer Becky Brunsing ascended to the South Dakota Municipal League’s top leadership position during the League’s 80th annual conference in Aberdeen. She assumed the duties of president at the League’s annual business meeting on October 11.

Brunsing served on the League Board of Directors as the district 4 chair from 2006 until 2009 when she became a trustee. Prior to becoming president she served as the second vice president and the first vice president.

She grew up on a farm near Wagner and has been the finance officer for the City of Wagner for the past 12 years. Becky and her husband have three children.

Brunsing is one of eighteen other municipal officials from across the state that have been elected from among the League members to serve on the board.
